How Radicalized Are You? ("the Service", "howpilled") is a satirical web quiz that diagnoses your level of political disillusionment and produces a personalised comedic roast. This page explains what data we collect, what we do with it, and what choices you have.

When you use the Service, we may collect:

• Quiz answers. The 20 questions, including your free-text answers (Q9, Q17, Q20), nickname, country, age range, and gender (the latter three are optional).
• Generated content. The personalised roast text and audio produced for your result, plus a unique short ID so your result has a public page (e.g. /r/ABC12345).
• Payment information. When you pay $2.99, payment is processed by Stripe. We never see or store your card number; we only receive a payment confirmation tied to a Stripe session ID.
• Technical data. Standard server logs (IP, user-agent, timestamps), which we use for security and debugging. We may also collect anonymised analytics events (quiz started, completed, share clicked) via PostHog and error reports via Sentry.
• Cookies. We use a session cookie to keep you authenticated to your result and a payment cookie/sessionStorage entry to keep your unlocked state across page reloads. We do not use third-party advertising cookies.

We use your data to operate the Service. Specifically:

• Compute your result and produce your roast.
• Send your free-text answers to Grok (xAI) so it can write your personalised roast, and to ElevenLabs so the audio version can be synthesised. Both providers process the data on our behalf under their own terms.
• Display your result on a public, anonymised page identified only by a random ID and the nickname you chose.
• Aggregate anonymised statistics (count of total diagnoses, archetype distribution, country averages) for the public leaderboard.
• Review reports of inappropriate content and remove violating results. We retain raw text answers internally, accessible only by site administrators, for that purpose.

• Stripe — payment processing.
• xAI (Grok) — roast generation.
• ElevenLabs — audio synthesis.
• Hosting + analytics — Railway/Vercel for hosting, optionally PostHog for product analytics, optionally Sentry for error tracking.

We do not sell your data. We do not share your data with advertisers.

Quiz results and roasts are kept indefinitely so the share links keep working, unless you ask us to delete yours (see "Your rights" below) or we remove a result for moderation reasons. Server logs roll over within 30 days. Stripe retains payment records under its own retention policy.

If you are in the EU/UK, GDPR applies. You have the right to:

• Request a copy of the data we hold about your result.
• Request deletion of your result and underlying free-text answers.
• Object to processing or withdraw consent.
• Lodge a complaint with your national data protection authority.

To exercise any of these rights, email us (see "Contact" below) with your unique result ID (the 8-character code in your share URL, e.g. /r/ABC12345).

The Service is not intended for users under 18. The content is satirical and contains profanity. Do not use the Service if you are under 18.

We use industry-standard technical measures (HTTPS, hashed session tokens, encrypted payment processing via Stripe) to protect your data. No system is perfectly secure; if we become aware of a breach affecting your data, we will notify you and relevant authorities as required by law.

If we materially change this policy we will update the "Last updated" date above and announce it on the Service.
